Peel and Stick Adhesive
PSA lamination applies a high-tack pressure sensitive adhesive to one or both faces of a honeycomb panel. The adhesive surface is covered with a protective release liner that keeps it inactive during storage. At the point of use, the operator peels the liner and presses the panel into place — forming a strong, immediate bond.
How it works.
The PSA layer is applied to the facing paper during production and covered with a coated release liner. The adhesive remains inactive while the liner is in place — it can be stored and handled without bonding to adjacent surfaces.
When the liner is removed, the adhesive is exposed and immediately ready to bond on contact with pressure. A firm, even press against the receiving surface activates the adhesive across the full contact area. Double-sided PSA panels allow the panel to be sandwiched and bonded between two substrates in a single operation.

Design considerations.
PSA bonding strength is affected by surface cleanliness, porosity, and temperature. Confirm substrate compatibility before specifying for critical bonding applications.
PSA panels should be stored flat and away from heat sources. Elevated temperatures can affect adhesive tack and liner peel performance.
For double-sided applications, plan your assembly sequence. Once the first liner is removed, the panel will adhere on contact.
